On Wednesday, Sidharth Malhotra addressed a serious allegation made by a fan claiming she was scammed out of Rs 50 Lakh by a fraudulent fan page. The actor took to social media to respond to the issue, ensuring his followers that neither he nor his family or team were involved in any such activities.

In his statement, Sidharth wrote, "It has been brought to my attention that certain fraudulent activities/scams have been circulating on various social media platforms, allegedly claiming to be associated with or in relation to me, my family, and people claiming to be my fans and seeking money."

The issue arose when a fan named Meenu claimed on social media that she had been misled and scammed. In her post, Meenu alleged that she was fed false stories about Sidharth Malhotra’s life being in danger due to actress Kiara Advani. She also claimed that Malhotra and his family were under threat to get him married and that he was being physically and financially exploited by influential people in the industry. Furthermore, Meenu stated that she was told Kiara Advani had performed black magic on Sidharth.

According to Meenu, she was introduced to a fake PR team for the actor and was persuaded to send money weekly to save Malhotra from supposed harm. She claims to have incurred a loss of Rs 50 Lakh as a result.

Sidharth Malhotra’s prompt response aims to caution his fans and prevent them from falling victim to similar scams in the future, emphasizing the importance of vigilance and reporting suspicious activities to authorities.
