Casting director Mukesh Chhabra talked about his opinion of Ranbir Kapoor and went on to praise the actor in a recent interview calling him number 1 in the industry. He noted that the actor enjoys a massive fan base and fans are always in anticipation of his new projects the actor has earned the same due to his commendable versatility in the field. The casting director said that it’s not easy for an actor to remain at a top level even after so many years of being in the industry and Ranbir has that charm which makes the fans cheer for him even now and display such anticipation about his work front. 

He said, "I think vo jo Ranbir Kapoor ka charm hai na vo jo ek hai na vo log usko dekhne ke liye pagal hain jo tadapte hain jab uski film aati hai." He further added, “I think vo Ranbir Kapoor jo hai in that order he is the number 1."

Besides being in casting for several years, Mukesh made his directorial debut with Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi starrer 'Dil Bechara'. The film released in 2020  and has been adapted from John Green's novel 'The Fault in Our Stars'. 

On the work front, Ranbir most recently appeared in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial 'Animal' which was released in December last year. The film also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, and Bobby Deol in the lead. Despite receiving mixed reviews from the audience, the film went on to make massive numbers at the box office. The makers subsequently announced the second installment of the film which will be titled 'Animal Park'. But the details about the film are yet to be announced as the makers and actors are busy making other projects and the film is yet to go on the floors. 

The actor will next feature in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming film 'Ramayan' for which he is currently shooting. The film also features Sai Pallavi in the lead and there have been many reports about other actors being in the project including Bobby, Lara Dutta, and Sunny Deol however there have been no confirmation for the same. Besides, he will also star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love and War' alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
