Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming most-awaited film Sarfira. Kumar fans are up for enjoying a treat on July 12, 2024, as the real-life story of GR Gopinath hits theaters nationwide. Before the release, the actor was recorded promoting the film in Delhi and Pune. A few special screenings were organized in the cities, and the film received rave reviews from the audiences. 

Sarfiraa marks the 150th film of Akshay Kumar’s filming career. During the promotional event, he spoke highly about the film he also mentioned that Sarfira is his best film. He was quoted saying, "This is my 150th film and it is my best film. I am very thankful to Sudha for giving me this film and the opportunity to be in it."

It is noteworthy that there is a massive buzz around Sarfira also, the film has already created history before its release. The film's trailer was the most watched one on YouTube in 24 hours. On IMDb too Sarfira emerged as the most anticipated film of the month. Sarfira is based on the real-life story of GR Gopinath who made cost-effective aviation possible for the common man. The film is an official Hindi adaptation of Tamil film Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara. The Hindi version is also helped by her leading the Suriya starrer to earn 5 National Awards.
