Earlier this week PeepingMoon exclusively reported that Aditya Dhar has assembled a stellar cast including Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. The film in the talks is an action drama tentatively titled Dhurandhar. This news brought a wave of excitement among fans who expect another hit from Dhar. Allegedly, Ranveer Singh will play the lead while other actors will have equally pivotal roles in a mission-based thriller. As we are looking forward to this project there are now reports of another actor joining the cast.

According to new reports around the development, Akshaye Khanna has been signed along with the strong ensemble to play a key role. While Ranveer Singh is said to play an Indian Intelligence Officer, Sanjay Dutt to turn antagonist, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal’s character has been kept under wraps. Similarly, it is unknown what Khanna has to offer in the fast-paced action thriller. It has also been reported that the storyline will unfold in international locations, emphasizing its expansive scale, and that pre-production has already commenced.

According to Pinkvillaa reports, the filming of Dhurandhar will kick start in August at an International location following a schedule in India. The source informed the publication, “It’s a tale inspired by true events, and will feature Ranveer as one of the most important agents in the history of R&AW. Ranveer Singh is one of the finest actors in the present times and is excited to step into the world of this action thriller.”

The source further added, “Akshaye Khanna and Ranveer Singh share a very interesting dynamic in this feature film and Dhar is looking forward to bring their chemistry to the spectacle. Akshaye is impressed with the writing of Dhar’s next and has come on board the film.”

Dhurandhar marks Aditya Dhar’s next directorial after the phenomenal success of Uri: The Surgical Strike released in 2019. Dhar will also produce the movie along with his brother Lokesh Dhar under their home banner B62 Studios.
