Shah Rukh Khan’s Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna character was a copy of THIS Pakistani actor

‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, and Abhishek Bachchan has been one of the most memorable films so far and is still celebrated. The film was considered to be ahead of its time and has garnered a significant fan base over the years. However, in a recent interview, Pakistani actor Tauqeer Nasir made a remark on the character of Shah Rukh saying that it was copied from his character in the show ‘Parwaaz’. The actor also mentioned that he appreciates that his character was copied that’s too by Shah Rukh, but the makers should have given the credit for the same.

He said,  "Ek film Shah Rukh ne meri ki hai. Parwaaz drame ka poora character use as it is kiya hai. I appreciate lekin usko credit dena chahiye tha. Karan Johar ko dena chahiye tha.” Further adding that even the similarities of the injuries of Shah Rukh’s character were same and also emphasised that the makers glamourised the character in the film.  He said, "Wohi right leg, same limp.”

Produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film also featured Amitabh Bachchan and Kirron Kher in pivotal roles. The film revolved around the subject of the extra-marital affair. Whereas Rani’s character was married to Abhishek, Preity Zinta and Shah Rukh were together in the film. However, the romance sparked between Rani and Shah Rukh leading to things going in different directions.

On the work front, Shah Rukh’s latest appearance has become in Rajkumar Hirani’s film  ‘Dunki’. Released in December last year, the film also starred Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and  Vicky Kaushal in pivotal roles. The film did well at the box office and was appreciated by the audience it was also a break for the fans to witness the actor in a different avatar after his back-to-back acts in action films,  ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’ which were released during the same year. Before that the actor was on a sabbatical from acting and didn’t star in any film for a few years. All his films released last year have been praised by the audience.
