Vijay Varma opens up about relationship with Tamannaah Bhatia and their love story: ‘Strong and Lovely’

Vijay Varma, who rose to fame with Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury's 2016 film Pink, has become a prominent name in the entertainment industry. Currently, he stars in the highly anticipated Mirzapur Season 3, streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Off-screen, Vijay frequently makes headlines for his relationship with actress Tamannaah Bhatia. In a recent candid interview with Mashable India, Vijay shared insights into their love journey and how it has impacted him.

Vijay expressed his initial surprise at the public's keen interest in his relationship, saying, "I was shocked to learn that people were taking an interest in my dating life. Initially, I felt that it was bigger news than my film being released." However, he has since grown accustomed to the attention, describing their relationship as "strong and lovely" and admitting that they both "enjoy" the spotlight.

The actor, originally from Hyderabad, spoke about the serendipitous nature of their meeting. He moved to Mumbai while Tamannaah, a native Mumbaikar, relocated to Hyderabad. "We crossed our paths at the same time," Vijay revealed.

Praising Tamannaah, Vijay noted her fluency in Telugu and Tamil, adding that he finds their relationship fascinating. The couple starred together in the anthology series Lust Stories 2, the second installment of the Lust Stories franchise. Vijay shared that their romance began after filming the series in 2023. During an interaction with Tanmay Bhat on Netflix India's YouTube channel in March, Vijay detailed how their love story unfolded. He revealed that it took 20–25 days for their first date to happen after meeting on the sets of Lust Stories 2. Their romance blossomed during a wrap-up party for the series, attended by only four people, where Vijay expressed his feelings to Tamannaah.

Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia are often seen together in public, showcasing their chemistry. In Lust Stories 2, they were featured in a segment called Sex with the Ex, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, which highlighted their sizzling on-screen connection. The anthology series also starred Kajol, Kumud Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Angad Bedi, Neena Gupta, Amruta Subhash, and Tillotama Shome.
