Sarfira headlined by Akshay Kumar is set to take the most awaited flight on July 12, 2024. The biographical drama is an inspiring tale of Captain GR Gopinath who made air travel affordable for common people by launching a low-cost airline, Deccan Air. Fans are eagerly waiting for the official Hindi adaptation of National award-winning Soorarai Pottru to hit theaters. Their excitement has reached the skies already leading the film register numbers in advance bookings. 

Sarfira has so far reportedly earned Rs 24 Lakh for the release day in advance booking. It has already sold 12102 tickets for approximately 3269 shows. The movie is already creating history ahead of its release. The film's trailer was the most watched one on YouTube in 24 hours. On IMDB too Sarfira emerged as the most anticipated film of the month. And now the movie has minted Rs 24 lakh selling over 12 thousand tickets for opening day.

The film follows the journey of Vir Jagannath Mhatre (Akshay Kumar), the son of a teacher in rural Maharashtra, who defies all odds to revolutionize air travel in India. This narrative symbolizes the grit, determination, and 'jugaad' spirit of the common man. Featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Radhikka Madan, and Seema Biswas, Sarfira is inspired by Captain Gopinath’s book "Simplifly: A Deccan Odessey" 

The film is helmed by the same director Sudha Kongaraa who showcased her art in the Tami original Soorarai Pottru. Written by Sudha and Shalini Ushadevi, with dialogues by Pooja Tolani, and a G.V.
