Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh’s brother Aman Preet Singh has been reportedly arrested in connection with drugs. He has been detained by Hyderabad Police along with four others. According to reports, approximately 2.6 kg of cocaine was fetched to Hyderabad for sale, however, it was sealed by the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Department when it busted a drug racket. 

Narcotics Bureau and Rajendra Nagar SOT Police conducted a joint operation under Cyberabad Police's jurisdiction. Reportedly, including Aman Preet Singh, the cops have held a total of thirteen drug consumers and all of them have tested positive for cocaine intake. For the same, Rakul Preet Singh’s brother is under arrest by the Hyderabad Police. 

According to Hindustan Times reports, a press meeting by the Cyberabad Police carried out on July 15 confirmed that Aman Preet is booked under the case. During the meet a police official said, “I will only comment on whom Aman is connected to once we investigate the case more. We need to check when his association began with the accused, who consist of some Indians and Nigerians. Some of them are repeat offenders. But we believe it might be for a year and a half. Aman tested positive for using cocaine. It is confirmed that he’s an actor, he did not say if it’s on Tollywood or elsewhere.”

He further added, “As of now 13 consumers from Hyderabad have been identified who are wealthy are blatantly promoting a sick of ecosystem of drugs in Telangana. They are creating a network of supply and demand for drugs in Hyderabad. Out of the 13 consumers, 6 are apprehended and all the 6 persons got positive reports for cocaine when their urine samples are tested.”

More details about the case are awaited. For the unversed, Rakul Preet Singh was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in link with a drug trafficking and consumption case. Back in 2021 and 2022, the actress who recently married Jaccky Bhagnani gave her statement about the case and it was recorded by the probe agency.
