Bad Newz actress Triptii Dimri reveals comedy genre is difficult  

Triptii Dimri has several movies to her credit like Qala and Bulbul however she tasted fame with her role in Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. Being tagged as a National crush she enjoyed fame with several movie offers coming to her way. Triptii is now gearing up for her first commercial movie titled Bad Newz - a rare comedy drama. Having worked in drama flicks the diva addressed the challenges of venturing into a comedy film and claimed she finds it difficult. 

Bad Newz is a comedy caper featuring Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk alongside Triptii Dimri. Based on true events the most awaited movie revolves around a rare medical condition called Heteropaternal Superfecundation where a girl has twin pregnancy and two guys are likely to be the father. The unlimited hungama and Kalesh within the trio in this Dharma Productions project will tickle your funny bone.

Bad Newz marks Tripttii Dimri’s first comedy movie and while speaking to IANS she said, "I have always done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I feel that as an actor, it is really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a little difficult since the beginning. I want to thank Anand sir from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with the film because you haven't seen me do comedy at that level. It was difficult for me, especially with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, as they are very talented and their comic timing is very good."

On the work front, Triptii Dimri has an exciting pipeline of upcoming projects. Following the success of Animal, she was showered with several offers from renowned actors and directors. After Bad Newz, she has the horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan. She will star opposite Rajkumar Rao in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. She will also roped alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi in Dhadak 2 directed by Shazia Iqbal.
