Purab Kohli, who most recently featured in the television series  ‘36 Days’, talked about the possibility of ‘Rock On 3’. The previous two installments ‘Rock on’ and ‘Rock on 2’ were released in 2008 and 2016 respectively. The first installment was an instant hit whereas the second part of the franchise had a moderate response however fans have been anticipating another sequel ‘Rock on 3’. Purab, who featured alongside Prachi Desai and Farhan Akhtar in both the sequels spoke about the possibility of the third installment citing that he keeps asking Farhan about another sequel however there has been no response from him for the same.

Purab Kohli said,  "It's a great franchise. I keep asking Farhan Akhtar if it'll come back for a third part. But there are no discussions on that front as of now.” The actor further recalled how the poor performance of the second sequel impacted his career but despite the same, he was able to get through in the industry. The actor portrayed the role of Kedar Zaveri in the franchise. The actor however admitted that he was heartbroken when the film couldn’t create any impact at the box office considering the response it got from the first instalment. 

The actor also said that to get back on track he didn’t take any other work for a year or so but later got back and succeeded. He said, “I didn’t take up any other work for one or two years before it and put all my energy into the movie. Since I had high hopes for it, I was heartbroken when it didn’t work out.” He added that he did question his career at that point as he was unsure to a certain extent.

His latest project ‘36 Days’ also features  Neha Sharma, Sharib Hashmi, Amruta Khanvilkar, Shruti Seth, and Sushant Divgikar alongside the actor.
