Stree 2: Shraddha Kapoor hints at defeating demon in new poster

The wait is over! Stree 2 is finally on its way to hit theaters. After a long wait, the makers of the horror comedy, Maddock Films have unveiled the poster. Generating immense excitement, it is officially announced that the trailer will be released 2 days later on July 18. The film starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor is a much-loved horror comedy film.

Another addition to Maddock Films' horror universe Stree 2 is a sequel to the critically acclaimed Stree released in 2018. The makers and Shraddha Kapoor shared the poster on their respective Instagram accounts. The poster featured a hand clutching a glowing braid, illuminated as if by crackling lightning, while a menacing shadow loomed in the background. Stree 2 poster promises more intense horror and drama. 

The tagline read “O Stree raksha karna” along with the text “Sarkate ka aatank” hinting at the storyline. It defines, that the sequel will have another demon ruling over Chanderi while Stree will come as a savior. While, in the first installment Stree was the terror, it is expected to be the opposite in 2nd chapter. In the caption Maddock Films wrote, “Aapki yeh ‘Choti’ request huyi poori! Sirf 2 din ki hai doori phir aa rahi hai Stree! #Stree2 Trailer Out In 2 Days!” Further adding about the release, the caption read, “The legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August, 2024.”

Earlier, Stree 2 teaser was attached with Munjya, another horror film of Maaddock Films directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. The teaser featured exclusively in the theater with the Munjya movie, it hinted at Tamannah Bhatia’s cameo adding excitement among fans. 

Alongside, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao the film also stars, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Tamannah Bhatia. Presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, the film is directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande. The movie is set to theaters on August 15, 2024 clashing with Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein.
