Kriti Sanon had back-to-back releases this year beginning with 'Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya' in February followed by 'Crew' in March. Both the films have done commendable jobs at the box office and the actress is set to continue shining with her performances in the upcoming projects. However, there are reports that one of her upcoming films, a biopic on Meena Kumari, has been delayed. 

A source close to one of the entertainment websites was quoted saying, “The material will be vetted by multiple script doctors before it goes into filming.” It further mentioned, “It will most likely roll in the first half of 2025." The film was previously slated to go on floors in October 2023. Meena is considered to be one of the greatest actresses in the Bollywood industry and has featured in numerous projects in her career. 

The news about the project was announced last year and the film was set to be directed by the fashion designer Manish Malhotra. He also ventured into production with his debut project 'Bun Tikki' which stars Shabana Azmi, Zeenat Aman, and Abhay Deol in the lead roles. The shooting of the film is currently in progress and will also reunite Shabana and Zeenat on-screen after a long time and mark the comeback of Zeenat, who hasn't featured in the films for a long time

Meanwhile, Kriti will next feature alongside Kajol in the upcoming Netflix project 'Do Patti'. The captivating mystery thriller marks Kriti’s debut as a producer under her production company Blue Butterfly Films. It will be the second time Kriti working with the actress after their collaboration in 'Dilwale', where they played sisters. The film also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan in the lead roles.
