King: SRK and Suhana Khan team up for a multi-villain arc in an action thriller with Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan has been confirmed to play the main antagonist in the highly anticipated film ‘King,’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan. The film, an action-packed thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh, marks the big screen debut of Suhana and features SRK as an underworld don mentoring his protégé against a backdrop of the underworld.

Following the success of Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan and director Siddharth Anand are reuniting for this project, with Sujoy Ghosh helming the film. The film’s production team, including Marflix Entertainment and Red Chillies, has scheduled the shoot to commence in November 2024, with a release target of late 2025 or early 2026.

Sources close to the project revealed that ‘King’ will feature a multi-villain arc, with Abhishek Bachchan playing the primary antagonist. Casting is underway to fill other negative roles with credible actors from the Hindi film industry. The film will be shot in various locations across India and Europe, with extensive recce already conducted in European cities such as Prague and London.

“While Abhishek Bachchan plays the main antagonist, there is a multi-villain arc in the film. The team is looking to cast credible actors from the Hindi Film Industry to play the negative turn. The casting is underway and the makers are looking to take the film on floors from November 2024,” revealed a source close to the development.

The film promises to be a raw action spectacle with emotional depth, and significant portions of the action are planned to unfold in Prague. After completing ‘King’ by mid-2025, Shah Rukh Khan is expected to move on to the highly anticipated ‘Pathaan 2’ within the YRF Spy Universe.

‘King’ is set to become one of the most awaited films, combining the star power of SRK, the fresh talent of Suhana Khan, and a gripping storyline brought to life by Sujoy Ghosh and Siddharth Anand.
