Stree 2 which is set to star Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee,  Aparshakti Khurana, and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead has been one of the most anticipated projects ever since the first sequel was released titled ‘Stree’. The film introduced the genre of horror-comedy in Bollywood which hasn’t been explored much and fans have praised the makers for the same. After a long wait, the sequel which was announced years back is finally set to hit the big screens on August 15 and the excitement among the audience is only rising higher. 

Ahead of the release of the trailer, the makers decided to surprise the fans and dropped the latest poster from the film featuring the lead actors. Rajkummar shared the poster on his Instagram handle with a caption, "Ho jaiye taiyar Aa raha hai. #Bicky with his most loved gang and with #Stree ji for the biggest horror comedy of the year. #Stree2 Trailer out tomorrow. The legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August, 2024.” Soon enough fans flooded the comment section expressing their excitement for the project. The trailer of the film will be out tomorrow as announced by the makers in a previous post on social media. 

A new poster released yesterday hints at the storyline of Stree 2. The tagline read “Oh Stree Rakhsa Karna” along with the text “Sarkate Ka Aatank”. While in the first chapter, the tagline was “Oh Stree Kal Aana” has a reverse scenario in 2nd installment with Stree turning out to be a saviour to save people of Chanderi.

Produced under Maddock Films, the project is a part of a horror multiverse that also includes ‘Bhediya’ starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon and ‘Munjya’ featuring Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Varma in the lead. At the end of the film, there were also glimpses of the characters from both the films to highlight the multiverse.
