The much-awaited trailer for Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 has finally been unveiled. The first installment, known for its unique blend of horror and comedy along with a social message, made a lasting impact. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the sequel, especially after the teaser released a few days ago with the tagline, "The legend is back."

The teaser left audiences craving more, and the newly launched trailer certainly lives up to the hype. With new twists and heightened horror elements, this time the town of Chanderi faces a new threat in the form of a headless demon named Seer Kaatta. Unlike before, it is the women of Chanderi who are in danger. To combat this terror, Shraddha Kapoor returns, presumably reprising her role as the spirit from the prequel. This time, the townspeople plead, "O stree raksha karna," instead of warning, "O stree kal aana."

The trailer masterfully balances humor and chills. It features humorous one-liners that will leave you in stitches, alongside eerie images of Seer Kaatta’s deadly skull. In a standout scene, Rudra Bhaiya, played by Pankaj Tripathi, humorously refers to Seer Kaatta as an influencer seeking more followers in Chanderi.

In Stree 2, Abhishek Banerjee plays Jana once more. He expresses his joy at playing the cherished part again. "I'm excited to play 'Jana' again in 'Stree 2,' with some of the top performers in the industry. This role has a special connection with the audience, and I'm motivated to give it everything I've got again. It's pretty endearing how much kids, in especially, still care about the character", Banerjee said in a statement.

Stree 2, a Maddock Films production directed by Dinesh Vijan, is set to hit theaters on August 15, Independence Day.
