Fans of Allu Arjun and the much-anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule can breathe a sigh of relief as the film remains on schedule for its December release, despite rumors of a fallout between the lead actor and director Sukumar.

Recent speculations suggested that the stylish star and Sukumar were at odds during the final stages of production, with reports indicating that the shoot had come to a halt. Concerns grew among moviegoers and fans when it was rumored that Allu Arjun had trimmed his beard in protest and that both he and the director had taken separate vacations, potentially delaying the film.

However, on Thursday, July 18, Sarath Chandra Naidu, manager and head of content and digital for Allu Arjun, addressed these rumors on X (formerly Twitter). In response to a fan's query about the status of Pushpa 2: The Rule, Naidu clarified, “Sukumar garu has started working on editing the first half of the film. It's very common to take a break during the editing.” He further assured fans that the film is progressing well and is set to release in cinemas on December 6 as planned.

Naidu also mentioned that director Sukumar is currently focused on the CGI work in addition to the editing process. Despite the rumors, the makers of the film have dismissed reports of a fallout between Allu Arjun and Sukumar.

Pushpa 2: The Rule, the direct sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, follows the story of red sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj, portrayed by Allu Arjun, as he strives to cement his name and face new adversaries. The first part became a massive hit, thanks to Allu Arjun’s charisma, punchy dialogues, cliffhanger ending, and chartbuster songs.

The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Rao Ramesh, among others. Initially slated for an August 15 release, the film’s schedule was pushed to December 6 to accommodate pending shoots and post-production work.

Despite the rumors and speculations, Pushpa 2: The Rule is on track to captivate audiences once again, promising a thrilling continuation of Pushpa Raj's saga.
