Kim Kardashian poses with elephant statue during Mumbai visit amid controversy over Ganesh idol photoshoot

Reality television star Kim Kardashian has been sharing photos from her trip to Mumbai, where she attended the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. On Wednesday, Kim posted new pictures on Instagram, showcasing her time in India.

In the images, Kim donned a white outfit and struck various poses both inside a hotel and outdoors. Her sister, Khloe Kardashian, who joined her on the trip, appeared in one of the photos wearing a beige outfit. One picture featured Kim holding a plate of red and yellow kumkum.

Kim also posed next to a white elephant statue, a post that follows recent criticism she faced for using a Lord Ganesha idol as a prop in a previous photoshoot. Captioning her pictures, Kim wrote, "Smiling thinking about how I really got Khloe out of the house."

In another post, Kim shared more snapshots from the second day of the Ambani event. Though she didn't provide a caption, she included a sparkles emoji. The photos showed Kim and Khloe posing together, with Kim in a beige Indian outfit and Khloe in a pink lehenga.

During her first visit to India, Kim also performed seva at the ISKCON Temple with Khloe and motivational speaker Jay Shetty. She posted photos of the experience on Instagram, including one where she served food to children. "Thank you @jayshetty and @radhidevlukia for this beautiful experience at the temple and for having the opportunity to visit these small souls. I'm forever grateful," she wrote. Both sisters wore long dresses with a dupatta over their shoulders.

Kim, renowned for "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," arrived in Mumbai on July 12 and spent the weekend attending the Ambani celebrations. She opted for ensembles by Indian designers for all the functions. The star-studded wedding also saw attendance from singer Justin Bieber, WWE champion John Cena, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, and rapper Rema, among others.
