Sharvari Wagh, who most recently starred in Maddock Films' horror-comedy 'Munjya' and Netflix's 'Maharaj' is set to co-star Alia Bhatt in her upcoming YRF Spy Universe project. In a recent interview, the actress was asked about her experience of working with Alia, whom she considers a big inspiration as she admitted in the previous interviews. She also admitted being a big admirer of Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif during the conversation.
She said, “So, I’m looking forward to being on set, to learn from Alia everyday, to deliver my scenes well. If I let the pressure get to me, I won’t be have fun and I don’t want that. To be part of a universe that has my cinematic idols is a dream come true moment honestly. I look up to Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif. Just the fact that I’m playing a super agent in this galaxy of the greatest icons of cinema is just too surreal.”
Her latest film 'Munjya' also starred Mona Singh and Abhay Varma in the lead roles and released on June 7. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film has been distributed by Pen Studios on the story by Yogesh Chandekar. She also featured alongside Junaid Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat in 'Maharaj. The film also marked the debut for Junaid, who is the son of the superstar Aamir Khan.
On the other side, Alia will feature in the upcoming film 'Jigra' alongside Vedang Raina. It is produced under the banner of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and the actress is also co-producing it. The upcoming project from YRF titled 'Alpha' will feature Sharvari and Alia together on-screen for the first time and more details about it are yet to be revealed by the makers.
