Director Anand Tiwari reveals Triptii Dimri was finalised for Bad Newz before Animal

Triptii Dimri rose to fame after her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial 'Animal'. The actress has been highly lauded for her performance and gained a massive fan base over the last few months and even been hailed as the 'national crush of India', by some of the fans. She most recently starred in Anand Tiwari's directorial 'Bad Newz' alongside Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk which she has been extensively promoting over the last few days with her co-stars. 

In one of the interviews, Anand Tiwari, the director of the film revealed that the actress was chosen for 'Bad Newz' before she was finalised in 'Animal' sharing that Karan Johar recommended her. Anand said, "Karan Johar recommended Triptii while she was still being considered for Animal and not yet part of the film". He further added that he thought she was perfect for the role and a star in the making. The filmmaker called her, "a talent that will last... " adding that "Triptii Dimri is Vicky Kaushal in making". Describing the same as the actress didn't belong to the industry. 

Triptii made her debut with 'Poster Boys' in 2017, she later starred in projects like 'Laila Majnu', 'Bulbbul' and 'Qala'. Meanwhile, 'Bad Newz' released on July 19 and has been garnering a positive response from the audience. The story revolves around a woman, who gets pregnant with the twins belonging to different fathers. The plot then follows the competition between the two leads to prove who the better man for the actress. It has been produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra, Apoorva Mehta and Karan under his banner Dharma Productions. 

On the work front, Triptii Dimri has an exciting slate of upcoming movies. She will be next seen alongside Kartik Aaryan in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and also has Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Rajkummar Rao.
