Pushpa 2: Producer Bunny Vasu debunks rift rumours, highlights strong bond between Allu Arjun and Sukumar, ‘We are actually laughing at all those rumors’

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, who garnered global acclaim for his role as Pushparaj in the blockbuster film Pushpa, is all set to return to the big screen in Pushpa 2: The Rule. Originally slated for an August release, the sequel has been postponed to December 6, 2024, sparking a wave of speculations, including rumours of a fallout between Allu Arjun and the film's director, Sukumar.

The actor’s manager recently addressed these rumors, and producer Bunny Vasu also stepped in to clarify the situation. During a recent event, Vasu told Gulte, “We are actually laughing at all those rumours as people are writing in whichever way they want. They have completely interpreted the happenings in a negative way.”

Vasu confirmed the film's delay is due to pending work, including scenes with actor Fahadh Faasil. “Only 15 days of work left when it comes to Allu Arjun, including a song and the climax of the movie. At the same time, we need Fahadh Faasil’s dates to wrap up the movie. Taking all these things into consideration, Sukumar wants to finish the editing first such that he will find out if there will be anything pending to shoot,” he explained.

Highlighting the strong bond between Allu Arjun and Sukumar, Vasu added, “If Sukumar wants the film to be shot for another 6 months, definitely Allu Arjun will oblige. That’s the bonding they have; don’t question that now.”

Pushpa 2: The Rule continues the story of Pushparaj, charting his rise from a small-time sandalwood smuggler to a powerful gangster. The film features Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and Fahadh Faasil in a key role. Fans can look forward to the film's release in multiple languages, including Hindi, on December 6.
