Ali Fazal is currently taking over father duties as he welcomed his first child with his wife Richa Chadha. He is also enjoying a good phase professionally gaining praise for his reprised role of his popular character Guddu Pandit in Mirzapur 3. Not just that, he has reportedly bagged a fantasy thriller by Raj & DK opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Following success of the beloved character of Guddu Pandit, Ali Fazal is set to join the cast of Rakht Brahmand.

Ali Fazal has been roped opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu in period drama/fantasy series "Rakht Brahmand" which is helmed by the visionary duo Raj & and DK. The web series will be directed by Rahi Anil Barve of Tumbbad fame. Apart from Ali and Samantha the ensemble cast also includes Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Wamiqa Gabbi in key roles.

According to a source, “The project is a marvellous vision of Raj & DK, it’s definitely a step forward in its genre of fantasy drama. The cast has finally all been locked and the shoot it set to start next week. Ali will be shooting for the series through August while also completing small schedules of his other projects. The show can to him and the vision of the show was enough to get Ali excited to be part of the series. It’s a really interesting part, something he has never done before both from character perspective and also genre wise”.  

The source further added the 6 part limited series is set to commence shoot in Mumbai, starting next week. Rakht Brahmand is a major project in Ali’s exciting lineup of projects. He has also been roped in highly anticipated Anurag Basu’s Metro In Dino, slated to release in November 2024. He also has Lahore 1947 produced by Aamir Khan and Thug Life being directed by Mani Ratnam in the kitty.
