Singer Sonu Nigam recently attended the prayer meet for Tishaa Kumar, daughter of actor-producer Krishan Kumar and Tanya Singh, to pay his last respects. In a heart-wrenching video posted on Instagram, Sonu is seen crying inconsolably, resting his head on Krishan Kumar's lap as Krishan consoles him. Tishaa passed away after a prolonged illness. Krishan is the cousin of T-Series head Bhushan Kumar.
The video also shows singer Shaan attending the prayer meet. Fans reacted to the emotional footage, with one noting, "He is also a father, so he is feeling for Krishan Kumar," and another commenting, "Sonu has a pure soul, he can feel pain." Many praised Sonu for his close relationship with the Kumar family and expressed their condolences.
The prayer meet saw numerous celebrities, including Kartik Aaryan, Anil Kapoor, Anu Malik, Vicky Jain, Udit Narayan, Jackie Shroff, and Bobby Deol, paying their last respects to Tishaa Kumar.
Tishaa's funeral took place in Mumbai on Monday, attended by many film industry members such as Bhushan Kumar, Farah Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Jaaved Jaaferi. Tishaa's cousins, Tulsi Kumar and Khushali Kumar, were also present.
Originally slated for Sunday, the last rites were postponed due to the aircraft carrying her mortal remains being diverted to Ahmedabad because of bad weather. Tishaa's last public appearance was on November 30, 2023, at the premiere of Ranbir Kapoor's Animal.
