The eagerly awaited film ‘Maharagni: Queen of Queens’ is making notable strides, with crucial action sequences featuring lead actresses Kajol and Samyuktha now completed. The film marks a significant career milestone for both actresses: Kajol showcases an unprecedented action avatar, while Samyuktha makes her Bollywood debut.
In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Samyuktha expressed her enthusiasm about the recent filming progress. “We’ve wrapped up the intense action sequences featuring Kajol ma’am, and my introduction scene along with some thrilling car chases are also completed,” she shared. “It was an absolute blast! The action director from abroad was phenomenal, and the entire planning was top-notch.”
Samyuktha also reflected on her experience working with seasoned actors Kajol and Naseeruddin Shah. Despite initial nervousness, she praised their supportive nature. “I felt like I was interacting with my own grandfather while working with Naseeruddin sir,” she said with a laugh. “He was so friendly and engaging that I could be myself. Kajol Ma’am was incredibly supportive, guiding me through my close-up shots. Their experience and encouragement helped me overcome my anxiety about getting the Hindi dialect right.”
The actress highlighted the film’s groundbreaking approach to female-led action roles. “Our director, Charan Tej Uppalapati, and I wanted to challenge the notion that action is solely for male characters. Maharagni is a commercial film packed with songs, fights, and, most importantly, action performed by us,” Samyuktha noted.
‘Maharagni: Queen of Queens,’ a high-budget pan-Indian film, is set for release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. The film also stars Jisshu U Sengupta, Chhaya Kadam, and Aditya Seal, making it one of the year’s most anticipated releases.
