Vedaa gets U/A certificate with no cuts; trailer coming this week

John Abraham and Sharvari’s highly anticipated upcoming movie Vedaa has been awaiting a green signal from the Central Board of Film Certification. Weeks ahead of the planned release on August 15, the action saga has finally received a U/A certificate from the censor board. The makers are set to treat the fans with the much-awaited trailer soon. As per reports, the film has been approved without any cuts and the countdown for the release starts.

Source close to the development revealed, “Vedaa has been certified U/A by the revising committee of the Central Board of Film Certification without a single cut. The makers have been advised to put a disclaimer at the beginning and the entire content has got a clean chit from the certification body. The team of Vedaa is very happy with the smooth process and appreciates the fact that the CBFC team could relate to the important issue they are trying to address through the film.”

Following the U/A certification all eyes are on the trailer expected to drop this week. The film is scheduled to release on Independence day August 15, 2024. The source further added, “Vedaa is on track now for an August 15, 2024 release as all the hurdles are now off their way. The makers will extensively promote the film over 15 days and are confident to grab attention of the audience with their strong content and pre-release assets.” The trailer for Vedaa has received a U/A certification from the CBFC and has a runtime of 3 minutes and 10 seconds.

Vedaa directed by Nikkhil Advani is an action thriller movie starring John Abraham, Abhishek Banerjee, and Sharvari Wagh in pivotal roles. The movie is expected to open in cinemas on August 15, 2024 alongside Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and highly anticipated horror comedy Stree 2 headlined by Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor.
