After a nearly decade-long hiatus, iconic director Sooraj Barjatya and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan are set to reunite for a new film, marking their first collaboration since 2015’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Contrary to recent speculation, the film is not titled Prem Ki Shaadi, but promises to offer a fresh and unique experience.

A source close to the project revealed, “For the past nine years, Soorajji and Salman Bhai have been searching high and low for the right script to bring them back together. They’ve finally found an idea that they both love. Previously, if one liked something, the other didn’t.”

Barjatya, known for his successful partnership with Khan, has directed hits like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum, which helped establish Khan as a leading actor in Bollywood. Their last project, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, was a modern fairytale exploring themes of identity and social disparity.

A close friend of Barjatya clarified, “Sooraj ji is not making a film titled Prem Ki Shaadi. It is a completely different script. He and Salman are coming together again, and this project will be unlike anything they have done before.”

The new venture, expected to commence filming early next year, is anticipated to push creative boundaries and explore new cinematic terrain. While details about the plot remain under wraps, fans and industry insiders are eagerly awaiting this reunion, which promises to deliver the magic that only a Sooraj Barjatya-Salman Khan collaboration can.
