Sunny Kaushal breaks silence on no-phone policy at Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif wedding

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif married in an intimate affair in December 2021 in Rajasthan. Their wedding came as a surprise to everyone and became talk of the town. The couple chose to have a close ceremony keeping a no-phone policy which made people assumed to be because of privacy however the actual reason will leave you in splits. Vicky Kaushal’s brother Sunny Kaushal revealed that the reason behind not encouraging phones was not to keep wedding festivities private but had their own logic which resulted in a fruitful decision.

In an interview with Zoom, Sunny Kaushal shared they kept a no-phone policy for people to enjoy the moment and bond with everyone present at the event. Well, it was the right decision to make at a time when people are often glued to their screens. He was quoted saying, “What we did, it was very interesting, we kept a no-phone policy on ground, not because of privacy or anything but because we realised that people are enjoying so much in the moment that none of us needed phones.”

He mentioned that this helped them enjoy the wedding to the fullest that they didn’t even realize it was a three-day event. Sunny further added, “My friends, my relatives, and Katrina’s relatives, everybody bonded so well, we partied and enjoyed so much that we did not realise where those three days went. There was no pressure to hide or show anything. Pressure lekar nahi ho pati hain shaadi. (You can’t get married feeling pressure).”

On the work front, Sunny Kaushal has joined the Haseen Dilruba cast for the upcoming sequel Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba, bringing back the original leads Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey. The mystery thriller is slated to release on August 9, 2024. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal is basking in praise for his latest offering Bad Newz running successfully in theaters.
