Salman Khan firing case: Accused confesses to joining Bishnoi Gang via Instagram

In a significant development in the Salman Khan firing case, Haripal Hardeep Singh, one of the accused, confessed to joining the notorious Bishnoi Gang around four years ago, revealing that the group operates through social media.

In April, two men on a bike opened fire outside Salman Khan's house, leading to an ongoing investigation. The police have arrested the suspects, who have admitted their association with Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. Haripal Hardeep Singh, one of the arrested individuals, has detailed his involvement with the gang.

According to a report by Free Press Journal, Haripal confessed to joining the gang and maintaining contact with Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol in Canada and Rohit Godhara. These connections were facilitated through an Instagram group named 'sopuprajasthangolden09,' where Haripal operated under the account 'harry_rai_sopu_haryana.'

The charge sheet reveals that Haripal created reels from video calls within a group that included 10 gang members, including Lawrence Bishnoi. This group also features another accused, Rafiq Mohammad. Haripal's Instagram account contains a video of a conversation with Rafiq, further linking them to the gang's activities.

Several Instagram profiles under the name 'Sopu Group 29' (Student Organization of Punjab University) are managed by Bishnoi. The police have identified these accounts as part of the gang's network.

Salman Khan had previously stated the incident, which the police referenced: "I believe that Lawrence Bishnoi, with the help of his gang members, carried out the firing incident when my family members were sleeping and they were planning to kill me and my family members."

The investigation continues as authorities delve deeper into the connections and operations of the Bishnoi Gang, aiming to uncover the full extent of their criminal activities.
