Kriti Sanon on her produced film Do Patti, “I always wanted to do a meaty, female lead,”

This year Kriti Sanon is riding high on the success of her latest offerings Crew and Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya with both grossing over the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. Being an outsider the actress carved a niche for herself and stood out with her National Award-winning performance in Mimi. Kriti who turns 34 today celebrates 10 years of her journey in the film industry. Completing a decade, the actress has evolved as a prominent actress, entrepreneur, and producer starting her own production house Blue Butterfly Films. Earling notable accolades and impressive box office numbers she is set to bankroll her first movie Do Patti.

Kriti Sanon finds Mimi’s National Award win the highest form of validation in her career. She said, “The National Award is the highest form of validation. When you come from a non-film background, it takes a much longer time for people to know who you are and the work you do. The National Award gave me that sense of calm and security.”

With a career spanning 10 years she is set to debut as a producer with her production house ‘Blue Butterfly Films’ in her upcoming film ‘Do Patti’, touted to be a captivating mystery thriller set in the hills of North India. She will also lead the film and talking about the opportunity she said, “I always wanted to do a meaty, female lead. I was craving to headline something powerful and it came into my life at the right time for which I will always be grateful.” Do Patti is scheduled to release on Netflix later this year.
