The wait for the Indian version of the American series Citaddel is over as after a long wait the makers have dropped the teaser and announced the premiere date. The Indian series titled Citadel: Honey Bunny stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu is a highly action-packed thriller. The teaser promises an electrifying installment in the world of Citadel. Amazon Prime Video's highly anticipated series has locked November 7 as the global premiere date. 

Citadel: Honey Bunny is an espionage thriller born from the Citadel universe which started with the American version featuring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Directed by Raj & DK Honey Bunny sets a wild ride blended with espionage, romance, and self-discovery. The most-awaited Amazon Prime Video had a grand launch today in Mumbai. Present at the grand event were the star cast Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Varun Dhawan, and director Raj & DK.

The Indian installment is helmed by Raj & DK (Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.) who have also co-written it with Sita R. Menon. The series is produced by D2R Films, Amazon MGM Studios, and executive produced by the Russo Brothers‘ AGBO. 

Citadel and its subsequent action-espionage Original Series traverse the globe, evolving the story of spy agency Citadel and its powerful enemy syndicate, Manticore. Each series born from the world of Citadel stars top local talent and is created, produced and filmed in region—bringing about stylistically unique shows with strong cultural identities rooted in their respective country of origin. The Italian Original, Citadel: Diana, is the second series to debut from the world of Citadel (launching October 10, 2024) and will be followed by India’s series, Citadel: Honey Bunny starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha on November 7, 2024. Season Two of Citadel, starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, will begin production this year, with Joe Russo serving as director.
