Ammy Virk calls Bad Newz co-star Vicky Kaushal “pure and genuine soul”

Ammy Virk basking in praise for his debut Bollywood movie Bad Newz also starring Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri. The Punjabi actor is enjoying the worldwide success of the comedy-drama as it has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark globally. The film is a laugh-out-riot revolving around the medical condition Heteropternal Superfecundation. Not just the unique storyline and comic timings the film has also garnered attention for the two lead males and their on and off-screen camaraderie.

The bromance between Ammy Virk and Vicky Kaushal was evident on social media and during their promotional events. Both Punjabi Munde have conflicts in their film Bad Newz but off-screen they share a strong friendship. Recently the actor opened up on their comradeship and his experience of working with Vicky in Karan Johar backed film. In an interview with News 18 Showsha, Ammy spoke about how they channelled their inner bromance while promoting the film.

During the conversation, Ammy Virk said, "I loved promoting our film as we had a blast in every city, enjoying delicious food and listening to great music together." Referring to Vicky Kaushal as his brother, he said spending time with him was "one of the most fun" experiences on set. He further called Kaushal a pure and genuine soul saying he is a rare personality. He further mentioned that the URI actor is responsible for making Punjabi songs a hit and he doesn't take credit for it.

On the work front, Ammy Virk is gearing up for his next Bollywood movie Khel Khel Mein. In the upcoming comedy drama he will share the screen with an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Taaapsee Pannu, Vani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, and Fardeen Khan. The movie is slated to release on Independence Day, August 15, clashing with Stree 2 and John Abraham.
