Television actor Dalljiet Kaur has written a lengthy post on social media after filing an FIR against her estranged husband, Nikhil Patel amid allegations of his extra-marital affair. The Kenya-based businessman, who has made headlines for posting legal notices against Dalljiet over her social media allegations of his infidelity recently landed in Mumbai.

The actress thanked the Mumbai Police in a long Instagram post on Sunday for their timely and sensitive act,"Thank you so much Joint Commissioner of Police Anil Paraskar for being so amazing. Thank you AGRIPADA Police Station for being so efficient and kind. Your prompt response helped me gain confidence that I am heard and safe."

Dalljiet further praised the Deputy Commissioner of Police Krishnakant, Senior Inspector of Agripada Police Station Yogendra Pache, and Investigating Officer Sachin Shelke for their patience and empathy throughout the process. "The Deputy Commissioner of Police Krishnakant Sir heard me with patience. And in no time, Senior Inspector of Agripada Police Station, Yogendra Pache Sir, heard the entire matter in detail. I couldn’t believe we were being served with water to calm me down and we instantly felt very safe to speak the truth. Sir made me and my father very comfortable as he could see I was shaken with whatever was happening," she shared.

She concluded her post with a message of empowerment, stating, “I am convinced now that when you are on the right side of the law and are on the side of truth, the Indian Police will empower you. I know now that women are safe in our country.”

Dalljiet filed the FIR on August 2, alleging cruelty and criminal breach of trust against Nikhil: Report by Times Now Earlier, Nikhil had slapped Dalljiet with a legal notice for her Instagram posts in which she called him an adulterer. He also stated that he would donate all her belongings to charity if she did not collect them from his home in Kenya. Nikhil was recently spotted at Mumbai airport with his girlfriend, Safeena Nazar.

Rumours that the pair have separated started in February when they unfollowed their one another on Instagram and deleted photos of each other from their accounts. Dalljiet and Nikhil got hitched in March 2023. In May 2024, Nikhil addressed the infidelity allegations in an interview with ETimes, confirming the split. He revealed that Dalljiet decided to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon in January 2024, which ultimately led to their separation.
