Mrs Deshpande, an upcoming psychological thriller, will see Madhuri Dixit taking a dark and challenging part. Her other works include web series and television reality shows. She made her digital debut in 2022 with The Fame Game. Besides, she is reported to be finalizing a deal on portraying a serial murderer in another show by Nagesh Kukunoor who is an outstanding director.

Mrs. Deshpande would portray Dixit as a serial killer whose knowledge is wanted by the police to comprehend the techniques of another serial killer they are attempting to capture, according to a report by Midday. Reimagined from a French series, the show promises an engrossing story. "The show tells the story of how the police hire a serial killer and pick her brains to understand another serial killer’s modus operandi and nab him," a source revealed. “The casting is underway. The team is excited to present Madhuri in a dark role,” the source added.

One of the known works of Nagesh Kukunoor is in the Modern Love Hyderabad anthology and the series City of Dreams; it is with this intense story that he is gearing up to bring to life.

Meanwhile, Madhuri Dixit has recently been seen as a judge in the popular dance reality show, Dance Deewane 4. Now, in an exciting update, Pinkvilla quoted that Dixit would be engaging in a special dance face-off with Vidya Balan in the highly-anticipated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Sources close to the project said that the makers are going to come up with a different kind of dance number featuring the two actresses. "Both Vidya and Madhuri stand for grace and the makers are planning to capitalize on their aura with a special dance number in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Bhushan Kumar and his team are working on a fresh rendition of ‘Ami Je Tomar’ to be picturized on Vidya and Madhuri," the source said.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is helmed by Anees Bazmee and features Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Triptii Dimri, is slated for release on Diwali 2024.
