Kajol opens up on working with Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan in Sarzameen

Kajol, who has served in the Bollywood industry for some of the iconic projects, is celebrating her 50th birthday. With a career spanning 32 years, the actress looks forward to more exhilarating projects. Amongst other upcoming projects, one of her exciting projects is Sarzameen alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan. The actor who turned 50 is all praise for her co-star Ibrahim for his work in his debut Bollywood movie. 

In an interview with Variety, Kajol spoke about Sarzameen for the first time. Hailing her co-stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan she said, “I’ve worked with Prithviraj [Sukumaran] for the first time and he’s absolutely wonderful to work with and so was Ibrahim [Ali Khan], so I think it’s going to be quite interesting to see both of them on screen.” 

In the same interview, the actor also said, “I don’t do too much work. That’s my motivation. I want to work with people I can tolerate for the entire amount of time that I am shooting with them.” Meanwhile, Kajol is gearing up for four projects including Maa, a horror drama film. Talking about Vishal Furia directorial Maa, she said, “It’s more than just horror. It’s a psychological drama with elements of thriller and suspense.”

Talking about Sarzameen, the film is a drama mystery thriller following the story of an Army officer who will stop at nothing to free Kashmir valley from terrorism, even if it means paying a terrible price. This film marks Kaajol’s first collaboration with Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran and Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan. The film featuring the trio is directed by Kayoze Irani son of Boman Irani and produced by Karan Johar.

Apart from Sarzameeen and Maaa she has Maharagni – Queen of Queens and Do Patti too in the pipeline. Maharagni – Queen of Queens is an action-packed thriller directed by Charan Tej Uppalapati. Do Patti is a mystery thriller film also starring Kriti Sanon who is debuting as a producer for her home production Blue Butterfly Films.
