On Tuesday actor Triptii Dimri was seen on a dinner date with her rumored boyfriend, businessman Sam Merchant at Mumbai's Pali Bhavan. Several pictures and videos of the duo have surfaced on social media. They chose not to pose together for the paparazzi.
In one clip Triptii arrived at the restaurant wearing a white vest under a matching shirt. She wore olive green pants and sneakers. She posed solo and waved to the photographers before entering. Later, she exited the restaurant alone.
Sam Merchant dressed in olive green shirt, denim jeans and shoes was seen laughing and folding his hands as he left the restaurant separately. He walked straight to his car. He did not pose for the cameras.
Previously Sam had reviewed Triptii's film Bad Newz. He shared clip of Triptii and Vicky Kaushal’s song Tauba Tauba on his Instagram Stories. He praised her performance: “Great performance. Thoroughly entertaining @tripti_dimri Ufff”
Reports suggest that Triptii began dating Sam after her rumored split from actor Karnesh Ssharma. Karnesh is Anushka Sharma's brother. The breakup was reported in December 2022.
Bad Newz a romantic comedy-drama featuring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk was directed by Anand Tiwari. It also stars Neha Dhupia. The film was released in theaters on July 19.
Triptii Dimri has previously appeared in films such as Laila Majnu, Bulbbul, Qala and Animal. She will next be seen in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video alongside Rajkummar Rao. Additionally, Triptii is set to star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 opposite Kartik Aaryan. Directed by Anees Bazmee the third installment of hit franchise features Vidya Balan. The film is scheduled for release in Diwali 2024. Vidya Balan reprises her role as Manjulika from the 2007 psychological horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
