In an interview with Dhivyadarshini Nayanthara discussed how marriage and motherhood have influenced her life. She revealed that these milestones have not brought significant changes. This is thanks to Vignesh's unwavering support, "Nothing has changed for me. It is a beautiful beginning of a new phase of life. My life is only better because of my support system. I can achieve more, understand films better, and do more," she said.
Nayanthara also discussed her opinions on cultural norms that frequently impose limitations on women following marriage and delivery. She questioned why these restrictions were exclusive to women. She denounced these conventions. "Why are there restrictions for women? I feel it's wrong. Why is it a topic that women can't work after marriage? Men go to office the next day after weddings," she stated.

For those unfamiliar, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan began dating in 2015. They married on June 9 2022, in Mahabalipuram. They welcomed twin sons Uyir and Ulag, via surrogacy in October 2022.
