In the phase of sequels not matching the bars set high by original films Ajay Devgn is proving it wrong. The actor holds the maximum successful film franchise to his credit. Movie sequels featuring Ajay are the Golmaal series, Singham 2, Drishyam 2, and Total Dhamaal, and all have reportedly performed well. In his project lineup, the actor has Singham, Son of Sardaar, and recently added, Shaitaan. Yes, the supernatural horror thriller film Shaitaan also starring R Madhavan will have a sequel. Shaitaan 2 is on the cards after the movie received immense love.

According to Bollywood Hungama, a source said, “The work has begun on the writing of Shaitaan 2. Once the script is locked, the makers along with Ajay Devgn will decide when the film should go on floors. The first part was one of the biggest hits of the year and got a lot of acclaim. Hence, they are clear that they’ll take their time in getting the script right. Only then will they move forward.”

The source further added, “With Shaitaan 2 and Son Of Sardaar 2, Ajay Devgn has attained the status of being the only Indian actor to headline the most number of successful franchises. Each film features a different genre, ranging from action and drama to romance and comedy.”

Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn has kickstarted shooting for Son of Sardaar 2. The actor shared a video on social media as the film went on floors. On the other hand, Drishyam 2 is also under works.
