Actor Yash has officially started shooting for highly anticipated film Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups. This marks his first project since blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2. The shoot began in Bengaluru on Thursday. Yash debuted his rugged new look.
Yash shared a picture from the first day of the shoot on his social media handles, captioning it, “The journey begins #Toxic.” The image shows Yash in white shirt with a bearded look. He stands alongside producer Venkat K Narayana from KVN Productions. The duo took part in puja ceremony. This marked the beginning of the project.
The post quickly garnered attention from fans. They flooded the comments with heart emojis and messages of support. Many hailed Yash as "real hero" and wished him the best for his new venture.
Before shoot Yash was spotted with his wife Radhika Pandit. They were with their children. They visited several temples in Karnataka. These included Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple and Kukke Subramanya Temple. They were seeking blessings for his new project.
Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups is directed by Geetu Mohandas. It is jointly produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. Specific plot details are yet to be announced. The full cast is also not confirmed. There have been rumors about potential co-stars. These include Nayanthara, Shruti Haasan, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria and Sai Pallavi. However, Tara Sutaria recently clarified on her Instagram Stories. She is not involved in project.
Yash announced the film just days before his birthday on January 8, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support from fans. He shared, “It’s been nearly a month since we announced Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, and the love and appreciation you have showered means the world to me. Your excitement, reactions, theories, and analysis encourage me to do more.”
The pan-India film Toxic: Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups is slated to hit theaters on April 10, 2025. This is three years after Yash's last appearance in KGF: Chapter 2.
