Actor Arshad Warsi known for comic timing both on and off-screen, recently shared some amusing and embarrassing moments from his early days in film industry. During an interview on YouTube show Unfiltered by Samdish Arshad recalled an incident. He was schooled by veteran actress Jaya Bachchan for his inappropriate attire while traveling.
Arshad who was new to film industry at the time, recounted how he boarded a flight. He was dressed in just his undergarments during the shoot of his debut film Tere Mere Sapne. This film was produced by Amitabh Bachchan. Reflecting on the incident, Arshad said, “I was new to the film industry and had no knowledge about it. I came from a completely different world. When we went to Hyderabad for the shoot of Tere Mere Sapne, I boarded the flight in my undergarments. Back then, we used to dress casually and dance around like that. Jaya Ji got to know about it, and I received a message saying, ‘Please tell Mr. Warsi to dress appropriately when he travels.’”
Arshad also shared another incident involving Jaya Bachchan. He bluntly criticized a film during its premiere. He did not realize the impact of his words. He revealed that Jaya later advised him to keep such opinion to himself. This advice was a lesson he took to heart.
Arshad Warsi has since become beloved figure in Bollywood. He is known for his roles in popular films like Munna Bhai MBBS. Also Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Ishqiya showcase his talent. He has also impressed audiences with his performances in psychological crime-thriller series Asur Season 1 and 2.
Looking ahead Arshad will be returning to big screen with Jolly LLB 3 and Welcome to Jungle. This adds to his already diverse filmography.
