Shah Rukh Khan is all set to receive the prestigious Pardo alaa Carriera Award at Locarno Film Festival. Earlier today, he was spotted at the airport as he leaving for Switzerland. The award ceremony recognizes SRK’s phenomenal contribution to the cinema during his career spanning three decades and delivering over 100 films. The event is scheduled on August 10, 2024 at Piazza Grande and on August 11, 2024 he will engage in a public conversation at Cinema GranRex. Due to overwhelming response the event has been shifted to a larger venue.
Offering an opportunity to fans across the world to hear straight from the global icon the event will be livestreamed. To honor Mr Khan’s noteworthy performances the festival will feature a special screening on August 10. Shah Rukh Khan has left an indelible mark worldwide with his powerful aura and unmatched acting.
This event followed by the blockbuster successes of his consecutive releases with Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki marks Shah Rukh Khan’s stellar year. The actor made a brilliant comeback after a hiatus of 4 years. SRK has a massive global impact, earlier in 2018 he presented at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Undoubtedly he has influence beyond cinema.
The Pardo alla Carriera Ascona-Locarno Award was previously awarded to film legends Claudia Cardinale and Harry Belafonte. This is now being honored to Bollywood’s King Khan Shah Rukh Khan for his exceptional career accomplishments.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next movie tentatively titled King. He will be sharing the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan in this one-of-a-kind action thriller. The film also starring Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced under Red Chillies Entertainment in collaboration with Pathaan director Siddharth Anand’s production house Marflix.
