Sanjay Dutt opens up on UK visa being rejected leading to drop out from Son of Sardaar 2

Sanjay Dutt who was supposed to star in Son of Sardaar 2 a sequel to his 2012 movie was recently dropped from the cast because of the unapproval of a UK visa. The second chapter of Son of Sardaar is being filmed in Edinburgh, Scotland and unfortunately, Dutt will not be joining Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur in the cast. Due to the rejection of his UK visa, the actor was replaced by Ravi Kishan in the action comedy. The actor has now opened up on the move calling it wrong, he even revealed that the UK govt. first approved his visa and then rejected.

Sanjay and Ajay were supposed to reprise their character as Billu and Jassi in Son of Sardaar 2. However, will now see Ravi Kishan playing Billu character. The reports mention that the UK visa application was rejected due to his imprisonment in 1993. While he has traveled to US and applied for a UK visa several times but never received one. This was his first chance to travel to United Kingdom.

Talking to Bombay Times, Sanjay Dutt said, "I know one thing that the UK government did not do the right thing. They gave me the Visa (initially). Waha (in the United Kingdom) sab payment hogaye the (All payment was done in the UK). Everything was ready. Then a month later you are cancelling my Visa! I gave you (the UK government) all the papers and everything (required). Why did you give me the Visa (in the first place)? You shouldn't have given me the visa. How come it took you one month to realise the laws?"

The actor further added, “Waise bhi (Anyway) who is going to UK? There are so many riots happening there. Even the Indian government has issued a statement that you should not visit UK. (So), I am not missing out on anything. But yes, they have done wrong. They need to rectify this. I am a law-abiding citizen. I go according to the law, and I respect every country's law.”
