Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, and others celebrate Aman Sehrawat's historic bronze as India's youngest Olympic medalists

Aman Sehrawat who made his Olympic debut this year has made history by becoming India's youngest-ever Olympic medalist after clinching bronze in 57kg freestyle wrestling category at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The young grappler's achievement has garnered widespread praise. Many Bollywood celebrities took to social media. They congratulated him on remarkable victory

Ranveer Singh shared celebratory post on his Instagram Stories. It featured picture of Aman after his victory. The actor felt proud of Aman's roots. He captioned the post, "Haryane ka sher (Lion of Haryana)," accompanied by lion and flexed biceps emojis. He also added the inspirational song "Lehra Do" from his film 83 as the background music.

Kareena Kapoor joined in celebration by resharing post on her Instagram Stories. She expressed her excitement with partying face emoji and wrote, "Congratulations @amansehrawat057." Mira Rajput also shared Aman's photo on her Instagram Stories, captioning it, "Bringing it home!" with a third-place medal emoji.

Randeep Hooda took to X (formerly Twitter) to share series of photos featuring Aman. He wrote, "Finally pahalwan (wrestler) #AmanSehrawat!! Jackky Bhagnani also re-shared a post on Instagram Stories, celebrating Aman's achievement with the caption, "What a debut (third place medal emoji). Congrats to @amansehrawat057 for bringing home the bronze in wrestling. This is just the beginning!" Kamal Haasan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu have also extended their wishes for the young athlete on social media.

Aman Sehrawat secured commanding 13-5 victory over Puerto Rico's Darian Cruz in high-stakes third-place match. Before Aman P.V. Sindhu held title of India's youngest Olympic podium finisher. She won silver at 2016 Games at age of 21. Aman's bronze medal is India's sixth at Paris Olympics. This brings country closer to Tokyo Games tally of seven medals. One silver and five bronze have already been secured.
