In a surprising turn of events Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently received marriage proposal from a fan. This occurred just days after her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya got engaged to actress Sobhita Dhulipala on August 8. The playful proposal came from Instagram user Mukesh Chintha. He shared a humorous reel that quickly caught the attention of the Shaakuntalam actress.
Mukesh's video with a caption, “You miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take,” featured a lighthearted message: “Me on my way to Samantha to tell her that she doesn’t need to worry because I’m always going to be there for her.” The video humorously depicts Mukesh arriving at Samantha’s house which turns out to be gym. He offers her his heart. The reel ends with Mukesh comically begging Samantha to marry him. He even asks for two years to become financially independent.
The video quickly went viral drawing laughs and reactions from social media users. Samantha, known for her sense of humor and dedication to fitness took proposal in stride. She commented, “The gym in the background almost convinced me.” Mukesh, thrilled by her response, shared his excitement, stating that Samantha had 'made his day' and declaring his unwavering support for the actress, writing on Instagram Stories, “If the world is against Samantha, then I am against the world.”
After courting for a few years, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya—once regarded as one of Tollywood's power couples—got engaged in Hyderabad and exchanged vows in Goa in 2017. Their marriage ended in divorce in 2021. The couple made their romance public on Instagram following months of rumors. Samantha has never concealed the emotional difficulties she experienced following her divorce.
Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya has moved on and recently got engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala in an intimate ceremony at his Hyderabad residence. The engagement was announced by Nagarjuna on X formerly Twitter. The veteran actor shared photos from the event.
