He expressed his views on stardom and the need for humility in the course of an interactive session with fans at the 77th Locarno Film Festival. Despite having such immense popularity, Khan revealed he "never understood stardom." He further explained that making his fans happy is the most important thing for him. Millions of adoration worldwide have not changed his perspective.
The Pathaan actor has become a symbol of Indian cinema across the globe. He spoke candidly about his journey. He also discussed his approach to fame. "I come from a background where if I touch people’s lives, there’s nothing more important He shared and added, "That makes me happy because the more people that are happy, the more I am happy." Khan jokingly referred to himself as a "monkey" and said: “I’ll do anything for you,” and expressing his gratitude for the love he receives. He explained that stardom is a by-product of his relationship with fans. However, their love is what truly matters to him.
Khan further revealed that he views stardom with a sense of detachment, saying, “I always say I wear it like a tee, not a tuxedo,” indicating that while he respects his fame, he doesn’t let it define him. He noted that the day he could no longer spread joy, his stardom would lose its significance.
On the couch itself, Khan talked about family life. He said, "All this glamour apart, we have a very normal life." He wants his children, Suhana Khan, Aryan Khan, and AbRam Khan, to stay humble about their privilege. His wife, Gauri Khan, he believes, is the reason their lives don't go out of control—her wisdom is beyond measure. Simplicity is the driving factor when it comes to family values, says Khan.
