Stree 2: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s horror comedy beats Tiger 3 and Brahmastra in advance booking 

Stree 2 is poised to make a smashing opening at the box office given the massive response of the advance booking ticket sales. Maddock Films highly anticipated horror flick slated to release on August 15, 2024, has generated humongous buzz and its advance bookings wreaks havoc at the box office. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming most-awaited movie has already kept the cash registers ringing days ahead of hitting the cinema. The film surpasses Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 and Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra. 

Stree 2 advance booking started on August 10 and within 38 hours tickets are selling like hot cakes across the country. So far after tickets went live for sale, reportedly approximately 85,000 tickets have been sold across the top 3 multiplexes chains namely, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. The mentioned record is only for day 1 and with such progress, the film could find itself a place in the top 10 biggest pre-sale of all time. 

Maddock Films horror flick trends 20% higher than Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 and 25% higher than Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra. For the unversed, in 38 hours same timespan as Stree 2, Tiger 3 sold 72,000 tickets while on the other hand, Brahmastra sold 65,000 tickets, according to reports. Stree 2 is expected to generate more business by the night before the release. The massive buzz around the film forced the makers to take a big initiative announcing an early release on the night of August 14. This came as a surprise for fans who have been eagerly awaiting for the release. Stree 2 will now hit cinemas a night before the scheduled release. 

Despite a big box office clash on August 15, Stree 2 promises to break records. The film releasing on Independence Day alongside Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abhraham’s Vedaa will see a bright day in theaters nationwide. According to reports Khel Khel Mein has sold 2,042 tickets while Vedaa has sold 5,969 tickets.
