Hina Khan and Kangana Ranaut speak out on violence against Minorities amid unrest in Bangladesh, 'HUMANITY comes first'

Actors Hina Khan and Kangana Ranaut raised their concern against growing violence on Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh amidst recent political turmoil in the country. Hina Khan took to her Twitter handle on Sunday, saying that she is saddened by the reports of increasing violence. She stated, "Every innocent death is the death of humanity no matter what country caste or religion. No community should go through such horrific acts, what’s wrong is wrong. Preservation of minorities of any country is the symbol of their collective community’s nature." Khan, who is currently undergoing breast cancer treatment, also extended her prayers for the safety of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh, emphasizing that for her, "HUMANITY comes first."

The comments came after Bangladesh's longest-serving Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, resigned and fled the country last week after 15 years in power. It was a move which followed country-wide protests spearheaded by young demonstrators who criticized her autocratic rule as stifling dissent and widening inequalities.

Before Hina Khan’s remarks actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut also weighed in on situation, offering a more pointed critique. When asked by reporters to comment on unrest in Bangladesh Kangana claimed that developments there are indicative of all Islamic republics. According to her, there are constant attempts to 'annihilate' other religions. She tweeted, "No one is safe in Muslim countries, not even Muslims themselves. Unfortunately whatever is happening in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Britain. We are lucky to be living in Ram Rajya."

Kangana also added, "Bharat is the original motherland of all Islamic Republics around us. We are honored and flattered that the honorable Prime Minister of Bangladesh feels safe in Bharat but all those who live in India and keep asking why Hindu Rashtra? Why Ram Rajya? Well, it is evident why!!!"

These comments by leading Bollywood personalities come at a time when the situation in Bangladesh is still unfolding and reflect the growing concern over the safety and preservation of minority communities in the region.
