Nawazuddin Siddiqui is unarguably one of the most versatile actors in the entertainment industry. Embodying different shades of characters and nailing the art of acting masterfully he has proven his versatility consistently. Making an identity in the industry struggling with side roles he has made a place for himself having worked in several movies. Although he has collaborated with some of the greatest talents in the industry, he particularly admires the late Irrfan Khan and acknowledges that he supported him.

In a recent interview, Nawazuddin spoke about Irrfan Khan when asked how much a co-actor contributes to his performance. He said, "Great actors like Irrfan support you. When you look into their eyes, you understand the scene and the dialogue.  For example, I’ve worked with Mr. Bachchan in three films. When working with him, if I start thinking of him as Mr. Bachchan, I’m disrespecting his character.  It’s character-to-character interaction. For the first five-six days, I might be in awe, but after that, I have to act. Otherwise, it’s disrespectful. So, you have to shed that awe. More than half of acting is reacting."

Moreover, just as much as Nawazuddin adores the late actor Irrfan Khan, his fans also find him a perfect fit for roles that would have been played by Irrfan Khan. On the work front, this year Nawazuddin was featured in a Telugu movie Sailesh Kolanu’s Saindhav and Anand Surapur’s Rautu Ka Raaz which made a direct OTT release. Furthermore, in the pipeline, he has Hindi language crime thriller Section 108 which is currently under production. Among other lined-up projects, he also has Bole Choodiyan.
