As Stree 2 approaches theatrical release it wreaks havoc at the box office with advance booking. The sequel of the 2018 blockbuster hit Stree is set to put screens on fire and its humongous buzz is the proof. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s highly anticipated film shows no signs of settling for less aiming to create history at the box office. Amar Kaushik's directorial is set to break an all-time record for paid previews, marking a historic moment in Bollywood after 11 years.

Initially scheduled to release on August 15, the makers have made a big move by opening it in cinemas for previews on August 14, starting at 9:30 pm. Reportedly the horror comedy flick has already sold 65,000 tickets in the top 3 theaters national chains namely, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. 50,000 tickets were booked with PVR-Inox while the remaining 15000 tickets were sold by Cinepolis. The data mentioned is particularly for the paid previews starting post 9:30 pm. Further, the film aims to hit 1lakh pre-sales for the special screening. 

These impressive figures hint that Stree 2 could turn out to be a major blockbuster in Hindi cinema. Stree 2 has a high chance of creating a history in Indian cinema after 11 years. Should this momentum persist and more paid preview screenings be added Stree 2 might surpass the 6.75 crore paid preview record held by Chennai Express.

Despite, three movies big clash at the box office with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, Stree 2 is scoring history. As of Wednesday morning, the film has sold 2.26 Lakh tickets in the top 3 national chains - PVRInox & Cinepolis selling 1,80,000 tickets and 46,000 tickets respectively.
