Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024 kickstarted on August 15 with several Indian actors and directors attending the event. The festival is to celebrate Indian films on a global platform. Kartik Aaryan, Imtiaz Ali, Karan Johar, Kabir Khan, Shoojit Sircar, and more graced the event which will be held from August 15 to August 25. Several movies gained recognition winning big accolades. 

Kartik Aaryan booked a phenomenal win at IIFM as Best Performance Male for Chandu Champion. Vikrant Massey-starrer 12th Fail won Best Film while Laapataa Ladies received the Best Film Critics' Choice Award. Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki won the Equality in Cinema award.
