Aamir Khan in talks with Director Lokesh Kanagaraj for major Pan-India film

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is reportedly in advanced discussions with acclaimed Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj for highly anticipated pan-India film. According to a recent report by Telugu entertainment portal Aakashavaani. Aamir is eager to collaborate with Lokesh on project that promises widespread appeal across the country.

Though neither party has looked into the collaboration officially, sources close to the development gave a word that Aamir, Lokesh, and the production house Mythri Movie Makers are deep into negotiations, locking down the details. If all goes according to plan, there may be a formal announcement soon for what is expected to be a historic undertaking in Indian cinema.

In a relatively short period of time, Lokesh Kanagaraj has climbed to the elite ranks of Indian filmmakers. Leo, his final film as director, starred Vijay and was released in 2023 to a wildly positive reception. Leo was the 3rd instalment in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which began with the box office hits Kaithi and Vikram. His next movie, which stars Rajinikanth and is highly anticipated, is currently in production.

Aamir Khan meanwhile, has been active on production front. He recently produced Laapataa Ladies. The film was directed by Kiran Rao. It was notably screened at Supreme Court of India on August 9. Aamir's upcoming acting endeavour, Sitaare Zameen Par, which emphasis on Down syndrome and is scheduled for release around Christmas 2024, is also highly anticipated by fans.
