Bobby Deol has been riding high on the praise for his menacing role in Animal headlined by Ranbir Kapoor. His portrayal of Abrar in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film received immense love and appreciation across the nation. After Animal's success, the actor is gearing up for his debut in South cinema with the Tamil film Kanguva and Telugu movies Hari Hara Veera Mallu and NBK 109. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about working in a film industry other than Bollywood.
He heaped praises for Suriya with whom he will share screen in Siva’s directorial Kanguva. Animal actor revealed that he always wanted to work with Tamil star Suriya and he signed dotted lines of Kanguva before Animal was released. He was quoted saying, “I always wanted to work with Suriya. He is a great actor, and I was excited about being offered Kanguva. Siva is a great filmmaker, and such a gentle soul. He is like a teddy bear, and he has gone on to make such a great film.”
He further opened up on working with Nandamuri Balakrishna in NBK 109 directed by Bobby (KS Ravindra). Although he remained tight-lipped about his next Telugu movie he spoke highly about his namesake director and the lead actor of NBK 109. He said, “Balakrishna sir is a sweetheart. He is young at heart and is full of energy. My director Bobby is yet another beautiful soul, and I am lucky to work with such amazing people.”
According to Hindustan Times reports, Bobby has also been roped in for the Telugu film Devara starring Jr. NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor. Well the reports of him in Koratala Siva’s film Devara are not officially confirmed. He is also alleged to star in Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha, a part of YRF’s spy universe. He is also said to have an untitled film with director Anurag Kashyap in the pipeline.
